These works are a study of the form of dynamos, an early form of a generator that translated mechanical energy into electrical.

These dynamos include Hippolyte's Pixii, Gramme's Dynamo and Faraday's Disk. Created in monochrome, these pieces focus on the form and figure of the different types of dynamos through its progression in history.

Screenprint

This piece is a screenprinted book format in which as the pages are turned, each layer is revealed. In contrast, the laser cuts in the pages allow a glimpse into the next layer.

These layers contrast and juxtapose the corresponding layers in technology of hardware, software and human interaction. The same elements are used within each layer; however, the formal use of each element creates a different tone within each.

The lines of the growths are influenced by the shape of power lines, a show of human growth in cities and technology. Polluting and corrupting the tree and in itself nature.

Sabrina Reenan consistently grows to find the relationship between the large and invasive expansion of the digital world and the continuous, omnipresent nature.
